Israeli Forces Brutally Attack Masjid Al-Aqsa During Ramadan Prayer

What happened?
On April 5th, on the 13th night of the holy month of Ramadan, Israeli forces raided the holy Al- Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. While praying the Taraweeh prayers (practiced in Ramadan) assaulted and pushed Palestinians out of the Mosque (Al-Jazeerah). Well over 400 Palestinians were arrested while praying. Bakr Owais, 24 year old student explained, "The army broke the upper windows of the mosque and began throwing stun grenades at us... They made us lay on the ground and they hand cuffed us one by one and took us all out. They kept swearing at us during this time. It was all very barbaric." Palestinian worshippers are still being abused and assaulted by Israeli forces, even after the major incident. This misuse of power by the Israeli military has only further pushed their anti-muslim agenda and instigating more hatred and blood between Palestinians and Israelis.

Even as residents in America, or anywhere else, we are still one Ummah and it is our duty and responsibility to stand up for our brothers and sisters around the world. Ramadan is the month of forgiveness and righteousness, so we must do what we can to help our fellow Muslims around the globe.
